I Remember Mama
"I Remember Mama" is a luncheon event that takes place every year on Mother's Day. The objective is to provide an elegant luncheon event for low-income elderly women in the greater Bay Area who may otherwise be alone on Mother's Day.

The luncheon is held for over 200 mothers who would otherwise be forgotten; without visitors, without Mother's Day cards, without gifts and not even anyone to say thank you for their years of hard work and sacrifice.

Family! That is something missing form the lives of many senior mothers. What a blessing it is for us at Volunteers of America Bay Area, to give recognition, honor, gratitude and praise to our special Bay Area mothers by a celebration of food, entertainment, and special gifts. "I Remember Mama" is made possible through corporate sponsorships and individuals who sponsor a mom at the luncheon in tribute to, or in memory of their own mom or loved one. The proceeds of "I Remember Mama" help to cover the costs of hosting these low-income seniors on this special day. The board of directors of Volunteers of America Bay Area sponsors this event and would appreciate your support.
