Katrina Aid Today
This program provides 160 displaced evacuees form Hurricane Katrina that have relocated to the San Francisco Bay Area with comprehensive wrap-around case management. These services include advocacy, assistance with locating and securing permanent housing, food, clothing, transportation and navigating the federal paperwork required to receive assistance through the Federal Emergency Management Agency ( FEMA). This program is being funded by the United Methodist Committee On Relief (UMCOR) and the Walter and Elise Haas, Sr Foundation.
VOABA/Katrina Aid Today is a member of SF KARE (San Francisco Katrina Assistance and Recovery Effort) which is a coalition of faith based, non-profit, community based, city and county organizations and departments, who combine efforts and resources to further along the recovery efforts for our clients enabling them to reach a new self- sufficiency.
